What is Groupocity?
Groupocity specializes in connecting local area businesses to potential consumers like yourself. Our goal is to bring a unique deal to you every day, and strive to give you an over 50% savings on goods and services available in your city; through the power of "Group Buying."
Do I need to sign up?
Of course not! Signing up for our daily deal email reminder ensures you'll get a reminder every day we have a deal in your city. It's a great way to stay in the know of what's new and exciting at Groupocity.com. Plus, the email is a great way to tell everyone you know about our amazing deals, just by forwarding our e-mail! In order to make a purchase of one of our deals of the day and obtain your voucher, you do need to register on the site. But you're not required to sign up just to see the deals!
Does is cost to sign up?
Heck no, Groupocity isn't a buyer's club, or membership driven site. So there are NO dues or anything like that. It's free, so why not sign up for your email reminder?
How does Groupocity work?
Well, Groupocity partners up with local Restaurants, Bars, Salons, Spas and other great places in your city and negotiates a special and unique deal. That deal is then featured through Groupocity as a Deal of the Day. So we do all the work, and you get the reward!

Each day at 4:00 am Groupocity features a local area business to bring an amazing deal right to you. If you see a deal you like, purchase the deal with a credit card. To make sure we meet our goal, tell your friends, family, co-workers- (heck even people on the street if you're that jazzed about the deal) and help to seal the deal. You can even spread the word to your friends by using the Internet! Once we meet our target goal, you're guaranteed that purchase and receive email confirmation and your credit card is charged.
What happens if the target is not reached?
We hope that never happens since we are so excited about each and every deal we bring to you. In the event our target goal of purchase is not reached, then no one gets the deal. That means you don't get the deal, and your credit card wouldn't be charged (if the deal doesn't hit the target). But you can help that from happening just by spreading the word.
OK, the deal is sealed, now what?
Once the deal is sealed, sit back and relax... or tell everyone about the great deal you got at Groupocity.com to share our amazing deal of the day. At the close of the day (at 3:59 am) the deal is done. So don't wait until it's too late, you wouldn't want to miss out. Some deals may have a maximum amount sold, or limit. If that happens before the end of the day, the deal ends and everyone who purchased the daily deal will be charged. The following morning Groupocity will email you your confirmation for your voucher, so you can use the deal.
Can I purchase a deal of the day voucher the following day?
Unfortunately no you cannot. Every day we offer a brand new deal, so if you see a deal you want, purchase it before the deal either sells out or the day ends. We wouldn't want you to miss out an any of our amazing deals!
What will I be billed?
You will be billed the advertised purchase amount of your voucher; no more no less. Should you happen to purchase multiple vouchers, you are charged the amount on the voucher per item purchased.
How do I get my voucher?
If enough people have purchased the deal, your credit card will be charged and you will receive notification via email. Getting your vouchers is simple, log in to the site after the deal has completed to retrieve your voucher(s).
Do I have to use the voucher on the same day I purchased it?
You won't have access to your voucher from Groupocity until the following day.
How long do I have to redeem my voucher and does it ever expire?
That's a great question! It really depends on the deal. Since each deal may have different terms, just read the limitations on our website when the deal is being offered. Those same terms are also printed on your voucher. Any limitations or conditions are made by the merchant.
Is my information safe with you?
Yes; We use a secure credit card process to make sure your personal information and credit card information is safe. Your credit card information is transmitted over an encrypted SSL connection and your information is not stored on our servers.
Are there any terms or conditions, hidden clauses?
Terms and conditions may change with each deal, and are set by the merchant they are being sold for. All the terms and conditions are listed right there on the deal of the day, and are printed on your voucher. So they are not hidden, they're right there for you to see.
What if my bill is $35 and my voucher is for $40? What happens?
Well your voucher is worth it's face value for goods and services at it's specified location. What that means is, you must use your voucher in it's entirety, as there will not be any change given, nor will a new voucher be made for any difference. So go ahead and order dessert or get an extra service! Since your voucher is good only for goods and services, you may not use any remaining balance towards tax or tip.
What about tipping?
To insure prompt service is the acronym for tips. Most of us have known a waiter or waitress in our lives, so we know they make less than minimum wage and depend on their tips for income. If you get standard service it's customary to tip at least 15% of the total bill, before using your voucher. So if the bill is $80 and the voucher is good for $80 of food at $40, you would tip on the $80 use the voucher for $40. Just add the discount to the bill total when calculating the tip.
What if the Merchant refuses to take my voucher, what should I do?
It is extremely rare that you would run in to a problem that can not be resolved between you and the merchant. Should there be any issue with your voucher, please contact us right away at help@groupocity.com. Please send us as much detail as possible and we will get the opportunity resolved by the end of the next business day if not sooner. We also suggest you present the voucher upon arrival or before ordering.
Can I buy more than one voucher?
That depends on the deal. Some deals may be restricted to one deal per email sign up, others may not have a limit. That information will be available on the daily deal while the deal is posted at Groupocity.com
Can I give the voucher to someone else as a gift?
Of course you may. Since your name will not appear on your voucher, you may gift it to a relative, friend or even a co-worker.
I bought a voucher, but need to return it. What should I do?
We're sorry that you'd want to return your voucher. Returns are handled on a case by case basis. So if for some reason or extenuating circumstance you feel you need to return your voucher, please contact customer service via email at: returns@groupocity.com so we can see what we can do for you.
What if the Company goes out of business before I use my voucher?
Please contact us at: returns@groupocity.com so we may rectify the situation in a timely fashion.

When will Groupocity offer daily deal in my city?
We are working on getting into several major cities across the great United States of America. One thing that we are dedicated to is remaining a constant standard, and having local representation. As we continue to grow, new major cities will be added to the Groupocity family of locations. Just please be patient! What is a temporary authorization?
A temporary authorization occurs when we test to confirm that your credit card account is valid and/or has sufficient available credit.
Where is my voucher?
If you are not seeing your voucher (and it's after the close of the deal) you may be logged into the wrong account. Deals purchased with a Groupocity account will not be available when you log in via Facebook, and vise versa. The current work around is to log out and back in to the appropriate account.
