$1 for One 14 inch New York Cheese Pizza (Pick-Up Only) @ Astra Pizza I first heard about Astra Pizza last weekend while reading a blog post written by Elizabeth Dougherty. I waited until lunchtime and decided to call in an order to see if everything was as good as Elizabeth said. Being from upstate NY myself, I like to think I know a good pizza, and all I can say is "Thank You Elizabeth!" for introducing me to this great pizza place.

I ordered the New York Style with sausage and mushrooms and couldn’t have been happier to find it was simple and delicious – exactly how NY style pizza should be!  But don’t just take my word for it. For more detail please read Elizabeth's blog post at http://blog.elizabethdougherty.com/ because she’s a much better writer that I am :) I hope everyone enjoys this pizza as much as my wife and I did, and at our unbeatable daily deal price of just $1 I’m sure you all will.

$10 for $20 of The Best Bay Area Seafood & Drinks @ The Crab Shack It’s been around forever, it’s become a bay area institution, it’s relaxed, and we’ve all come to know and love it as The Crab Shack.

The Crab Shack really is Tampa/St Pete’s original, laid-back seafood joint, where countless customers have been stuffed to the gills (no pun intended, well maybe a little) with the best seafood selection around.

Located by the water on the St Pete side of the Gandy bridge, at first glance the Crab Shack certainly lives up to its name – resembling a beachcomber’s driftwood shack like something out of Robinson Crusoe or Lost. And the dress code isn’t much different – no suit and tie required here! Casual is very much the order of the day.

The fact that the Crab Shack isn’t one of those frou-frou restaurants reason enough to head there, but the menu is second to none for local and seafood. Shrimp, crab (including stone, blue, king, snow, Dungeness and soft shell), scallops, oysters, mussels – and that’s just the shellfish! Smoked mullet, snapper, coho salmon, whole fish corvina; the list goes on and on.

Each meal is cooked to order by an expert team that have been preparing the best seafood meals for years, and everything leaving the Crab Shack’s kitchen has been cooked to absolute perfection.

The laid-back atmosphere is reflected in the prices too, so your wallet will be just as satisfied as your stomach – and equally as full! Add in a daily happy hour and all-you-can-eat specials on Mondays and Tuesdays, it’s no wonder that the Crab Shack has remained one of the most popular seafood eateries throughout the bay.

$10 for $20 Worth of Cocktails and Tapas @ Blue Martini Blue Martini was one of the first nightspots to open during the of inauguration International Plaza, and over the past decade the up-market martini lounge has become one of the most popular Bay Street destinations; drawing crowds from across the bay area.

Like a decadent gin palace from a bygone age, Blue Martini is a dazzling display of exquisite décor, exotic lighting and gorgeous interior design. Sleek tables and serpentine bars sweep around the interior in a languid, fluid layout that befits the aura perfectly.

The first priority during any visit to Blue Martini is to get acquainted with on of their 40 signature martinis, each blending the very finest ingredients and liquor brands to create a masterpiece in a glass. An extensive wine and champagne list and selection of beers ensures that every taste and occasion is fully catered to.

For many the martinis alone are worth the visit, but there is an excellent tapas menu to tantalize the taste-buds and compliment the drinks. Seared ahi tuna on seaweed, light caprese salads and miniature martini lamb chops are all superb; tasting every bit as good as they look.

Open from late afternoon everyday (and early afternoon Friday through Sunday) Blue Martini is excellent as a place to spend a relaxing early evening, or to gather for a post-work happy hour celebration. However, its crowning success has been built on its unrivalled popularity as Tampa’s premiere nighttime venue – the elevated stage features the best live music and DJ’s every night, and the dance room is always awash with people getting lost in the spirit of the party.

If dancing isn’t your thing, instead try the casual outdoor patio bar, and soak up the joyful ambiance of the Blue Martini while basking in the beautiful Florida weather. However you spend your time there, it soon becomes obvious why Blue Martini is one of the town’s most talked about venues.

$10 for $20 Food & Drinks @ Champps at International Plaza The philosophy at Champps is simple: Huge burgers, plenty of cold beer and the best place to watch the game. Anyone can talk the talk, but does the restaurant and bar live up to its claims? You bet it does.

From the moment you walk into the friendly sports bar it just feels right. The brick clad walls give the place an old-school and homely ambiance, with Andy Warhol prints of Marilyn adding to the sense of Americana. Massive-screen HD’s abound, offering great views of the game from everywhere – the extensive bar, cozy booths, or open dining area.

The first thing you’ll want to get is a drink, and Champps’ island bar serves a multitude of domestic and import beers, a great selection of wines, and a host of signature cocktails to get your evening started just right.

If you’ve brought your appetite with you then you’re in for a treat! Champps pride themselves on their hand-crafted, Angus beef burgers; each freshly made to order and piled high with all the trimmings. Then there are the slow-basted baby back ribs which are fall-off-the-bone-tender, or seasonal specials like the grilled thyme pork tenderloin, and shrimp in white wine clam sauce over summer squash. Soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers and entrees; there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Situated in International Plaza, Champps is ideal for a family chow-down after the stresses and strains of an afternoon at the mall, and makes the perfect rendezvous for friends to have a grand night out.

$7.50 for $15 of Tea, Food, Drinks and/or Vintage Dishes @ Dishtopia “You’re just like Starbucks – only better!” It’s the phrase heard hundreds of times by Dishtopia & The Anytime Tea Bar’s co-owners Ann and Stephanie since they opened their South Tampa emporium last November. “People come in for the first time and that’s what they always say.” Reflects Stephanie with a smile, and it’s easy to see why.

The modern décor, comfortable surroundings (including inside seating, barstools, lounge chairs and a covered patio outside), eclectic music, Wi-Fi, and a 42” HDTV make Dishtopia the perfect urban oasis – a casual hideaway to escape the city and hook-up with friends, family, or perhaps just relax into your own little reverie.

$10 for $20 of World Class Mexican Food @ Urban Cantina Taking the authentic cuisine of Mexico and serving it in a 21st century urban setting, downtown Tampa’s newest eatery brings you traditional Mexican food with a modernity in keeping with the hustle of our city center.

At the Urban Cantina you won’t find terracotta ornaments, or folk art covering the walls. Instead there’s an expression of the upwardly mobile youthful Mexican culture; represented by skateboards, garish crucifixes, a steel-top bar, and a plethora of wrestling masks adorning the spacious open-plan restaurant.

Why the décor? That’s easy – owners Jose and Chris are both former competitors on the Mexican wrestling circuit. Now having hung up their masks (quite literally – on the walls!) the only thing they fight today is hunger.

Their recently opened restaurant has been an instant hit with the downtown set; offering a wide selection of piquant Mexican dishes ideal for the lunch crowd, as well as providing a chic new venue for anyone wanting somewhere to catch some great food after work.

Tacos, fajitas, tamales, burritos, chimichangas, and of course the best rice and beans in town, enjoy your world class Mexican meal with friends in the comfortable dining area, make new acquaintances at the bar over lunch, or take your fare across the street to the central Lykes Gaslight Square Park and dine al fresco.

If you’re wrestling with the question of where to eat downtown, the answer is simple – Urban Cantina, call them at 221-TACO.

$10 for $20 of Authentic Italian Cuisine & Drinks @ Vino E Pasta The heart of true Italian cuisine is its simplicity – the carefully selected ingredients complimenting one another while retaining their own distinct flavors, but never overwhelming the palate with an overabundance of tastes.

Simple the list of ingredients may be, but perfecting the art of blending these flavors and aromas to create authentic Italian dishes is the work of an artisan adhering to recipes passed down through generations.

South Tampa’s Vino E Pasta restaurant has become renowned for taking these simple staples of Italian cuisine; namely exquisite pastas, fresh Italian sauces and sumptuous wines, and creating beautifully subtle Italian dishes bursting with tantalizing Mediterranean flavors.

At Vino E Pasta you even get to join in on the culinary process: Choose the style of the hand-made pastas (long strand capellini, fettuccine, spaghetti, etc. and short pasta rigatoni, penne, ravioli, etc.) you wish, and match it to one of the many delicious sauces to create your own personalized dish.

If the selection and choices are all a bit too daunting, Vino E Pasta’s extensive menu has a range of mouthwatering entrees and daily specials, such as Veal Piccata, Filet Mignon in Cacciatori Sauce, Chicken Marsala, and Snapper Livornese.

Luscious Sangiovese’s, lively Chianti’s, subtle Valpolicella’s and bright Pinot Grigio’s – you’re guaranteed to find the ideal bottle or glass to bring out the best in your meal.

$15 for $40 of French Moroccan Cuisine @ Marrakech Restaurant Morocco; distant land steeped in exotic history, rich in allure and dusky mystery. Sadly for most of us this most sultry of North African countries will forever remain a far off promise, a spot on the map. However, one aspect of Morocco we can now sample at first-hand is the lavish cuisine thanks to the recent opening of the Marrakech Restaurant.

For a country renowned for exotic ingredients – mint, olives, lemons, saffron, dates, pomegranates and nuts – you’d expect the nation’s culinary arts to reflect these, and with one look at the Marrakech’s varied and encompassing menu you aren’t disappointed.

From the Harira Soup consisting of tomato, onion, cilantro, garbanzo’s, lentils, pasta, diced beef, and finished with eggs and a myriad of spices, to the Beet Charmola Salad with cold beets tossed in lemon juice, garlic and sprinkled with cumin, every scent holds a new aroma, each bite a revelation.

Most popular of all are the Tagine’s – rich stews cooked and served in heavy clay pots. Standouts include the Menara Tagine of tender lamb shanks braised with onions and dried prunes, served with toasted almonds, sesame seeds and hard-boiled eggs, and the Kenitra Tagine with Cornish hen, caramelized onions, dry raisins, and toasted almonds.

The restaurant itself is impeccably presented in full Moroccan décor, replete with banquet seating and traditional Moroccan tables and stools, custom built and imported from Casablanca – it really is one of Tampa’s most exotic and inspiring restaurants.

$15 for $30 of Food/Drinks @ Tampa's Original Sports Emporium Over the past 20 years the Press Box has become a treasured Tampa institution, serving sports fans and non-sports fans (better known as ‘soon-to-be sports fans’ such is the infectious atmosphere) all the beers, wings and big games they could ever want and creating two decades of good times and good memories in the process.

The Press Box is Tampa’s original sports bar, and with this reputation comes a few perks – which other bar can boast a meet ‘n’ greet with a different Buccaneer player each Tuesday from 6 to 9pm?

Sports come first at the Press Box, with the beer and good cheer running a close second. Thanks to 5 big screens and 18 smaller screens you can see all NFL games and never miss a match, and then there are the beer and drink specials, great giveaways and hot prizes on game-days to satisfy every fan.

And you never know who you might meet – Tampa's top sports personalities have been going to The Press Box for years.

$10 for $20 of Award Winning BBQ + Drinks @ Smoke Barbeque & Grill It’s difficult to know what to say about Smoke Barbeque & Grill because so vast has its popularity become since opening, that the television, radio and print media have already devoted thousands of plaudits to this most successful of South Tampa restaurants.

Ostensibly a good-old smokehouse and BBQ joint, Smoke is oh so much more; infusing elements of Hawaiian, Argentinean and German cuisine to the more traditional Creole, Texan and Carolinian BBQ methods. Smoke themselves refer to their diverse menu as ‘New World Barbeque’, with dishes ranging from the signature favorite Montreal Smoked Corned Beef which is a cured corn beef brisket, brown sugar glazed and wood smoked, to the excellent Huli Huli Hawaiian Rotisserie Chicken which is also smoked to perfection before being finished on the grill with hoisin and plum pepper glaze.

The ribs and wings are the 100% genuine BBQ article – not to mention being huge! – and are all lovingly wood smoked, but for the pinnacle of BBQ authenticity Smoke hold a monthly Whole Pig Roast, during which (as the name implies) a whole suckling pig is carefully smoked to absolute, melt-in-the-mouth perfection. All the sides are freshly made to order, with nothing sitting pre-mixed in a chiller or upon a hotplate.

To wash all this down Smoke have distinctive microbrewery beers on tap, domestic and import longnecks, a good selection of fine wines, and a signature sangria that wouldn’t be out of place in the heart of Spain.

The atmosphere is – as you’d expect at a BBQ joint – friendly and laid back. Bob Dylan floats through the audio system, the game is on the TV in the bar area, and the patio has a relaxed outdoor-Florida atmosphere.

Winner of Florida Trend Magazine’s Golden Spoon Award as one of the 100 Best New Restaurants in Florida, and the Best of the Bay Award from St Petersburg Times, Smoke is also the recipient of regular praise and kudos from Creative Loafing, TBT, The Tampa Tribune and a host of bay area radio and TV shows.

$15 for a $30 Bar Tab and/or Food @ Downtown's Newest Pub With 70 bottled and 12 draft beer varieties from around the world, a trio of daily soups, a triumvirate of salads, and a smorgasbord of sandwiches, The Summit Beergarden just made being downtown fun again.

From the burnished bar to the friendly atmosphere, the city center’s newest watering hole is checking all the right boxes – this is a proper pub you want to hang out at, not some shouty ‘look at me’ bar full of poseurs and black lights.

With the recent rise in popularity for good old, down-to-earth pubs where the emphasis is on the quality of the beer and food, and less on the tinsel and window-dressing, The Summit fits squarely within this category.

The sandwiches are prepared with a variety of daily baked breads, and the ingredients fresh and prepared to order, making the pub an ideal spot for the downtown crowd to grab a bit of lunch. But The Summit comes into its own when the work day’s done and it’s time to unwind. Located in the heart of downtown, it is the perfect setting to relax and enjoy one of the myriad of beers available.

With happy hour specials every day and live music on Thursdays and Fridays there’s even more reason (as if any more were needed) to make The Summit an essential port of call after a hectic day, or the pre-game staging post for anyone heading to the St. Pete Times Forum, which is just up the street.

Following a suitably modest opening during the otherwise gaudy hoopla of Gasparilla, The Summit is set to become downtown’s best pub – for all the right reasons.

$10 for $20 of Fresh Mex and Drinks @ Mateo's on S. Howard Ave SoHo party central just got a whole lot spicier with the recent opening of Mateo's Fresh Mex Bar & Grill in the heart of S Howard Ave. Combining taste-bud tingling Mexican food with a bar full of ice cold drafts and longnecks, Mateo’s promises to be one of the most popular hangouts along the strip.

Their extensive selection of imported and domestic beers is cheaper than at most of the neighboring pubs, and with an open bar (10-12pm Fri-Sat) and live entertainment, the newest bar in town certainly delivers a lot more bang (or should that be beer) for your buck. And not just beer, there’s a selection of wines and a special house sangria of ‘Pomegranate Red & Pear White’.

Then there’s the food. The Mateo’s menu is packed with fresh Mexican fare including tacos, quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, salads and sides to satisfy the hungry dinner squad, as well as cater to the late night pub crawlers. Of course having their own bar and a large, attractive outdoor patio to relax on, you really don’t need to go on a pub crawl – Mateo’s has it all under one roof.

$7 for $15 of Breakfast or Lunch @ West Park Bagel & Deli (Davis Island) Everyone loves a bagel – they make the best breakfast, a magnificent morning snack, a brilliant break-time treat, and a luxurious lunch. Now our favorite food with a hole in the middle got a whole lot better with the recent opening of West Park Bagel & Deli’s newest location at Davis Island in South Tampa.

Early birds are greeted with an array of bagels and croissants and everything you could possibly want to top them, including ham, eggs, bacon, cream cheese, pastrami, and of course that essential bagel companion – lox.

So popular is the breakfast menu that at West Park Bagel & Deli you can order from it anytime, but as the day progresses there’s a host of other delicious deli dishes to try. The lunch menu features perennial sandwich favorites (each available in bread, bagel or croissant variants) such as corned beef, tuna BLT, salami and egg salad. Then there’s WPBD’s very own Main Street Melts and Belly Buster Classics. Tuck into a BBQ beef and cheddar melt, or a Monte Kristen Belly Buster – that’s ham, turkey, melted swiss, tomato, onion and honey mustard to you – and you won’t be disappointed. If the belly buster seems a bit much, there are also a superb set of salad platters to choose from.

Being conveniently located next to downtown, WPBD is the perfect place to get out of the office and enjoy a relaxed lunch away from the daily grind. With Wi-Fi service and 4 large LCD TV’s you can still keep up with the news, but with food this good it’s unlikely you’ll be interested in anything but what’s on your plate!

$15 of Food and Drinks for Only $7.50 at Popular Downtown Eatery It is one of the most popular downtown eateries, but it has never done a dime’s worth of advertising. Many of the regulars have been going there for over a decade and they still don’t even know its name! It is the Original Grill Station in downtown Tampa, and despite its seeming anonymity, it has been a lasting success.

Founded in 1999, the OGS’s mission was simple – Great Food, Quick Service. Targeting the downtown office set, they put together a simple but delicious menu centered around founder Philip’s very own Bourbon Chicken recipe, and the rest would have been history – if anyone had stopped to remember the restaurant’s name!

Instead they were too busy enjoying the delicious dishes Philip and his friendly staff prepare from scratch every day. And so OGS has become affectionately known by many as “the chicken place” – the homely restaurant where they get their daily lunch.

Knowing how busy Tampa’s downtowners are, the Original Grill Station puts a premium on efficiency. The ‘plain and simple’ menu features just 6 entrees and a handful of sides (various veggies, rice and beans) but although it might be simple, it is anything but plain. The Salisbury Steak melts in the mouth, the BBQ Chicken is finger lickin’ good, and the signature Bourbon Chicken is a must.

For the ultimate in fast food, call ahead and OGS will have your order ready for immediate pick up, or take 20 and enjoy a Honey Chicken Platter in their comfortable little restaurant. Either way you’ll be heading back to “the chicken place.”

$15 for $30 of Teppanyaki and Sushi @ Koto Japanese Steakhouse It’s been a long time coming, but finally South Tampa gets its very own teppanyaki restaurant. Has it been worth the wait? Well after an evening at the Koto Steak House and Sushi Bar the answer is most certainly yes.

Teppanyaki is very much the new wave in Japanese cuisine, coming to prominence in the 1960’s and really gaining momentum since the turn of the century. Well represented in many major cities across the US, Tampa finally got in on the act with the 2009 opening of Koto Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi.

While offering traditional sushi and tempura Asian cuisine, Koto is the only Japanese restaurant in town to offer teppanyaki – the culinary art of combining western staples (steak, chicken) and cooking them on a hibachi griddle. Coming from the Japanese words ‘Teppan’ meaning steel grill, and ‘Yaki’ meaning grilled or broiled, teppanyaki perfectly blends the western love of such delicacies as fillet mignon, with the subtlety of eastern aromas and spices.

The truly authentic way of preparing teppanyaki involves the master chef at his hibachi surrounded by the diners themselves – each sitting mesmerized by the chef’s culinary acrobatics. Koto has no fewer than 8 hibachi’s with ample seating for 20 people around each – come as a group, or sidle up with others and make new friends over a spectacular Japanese meal.

For those preferring the more traditional, Koto’s sushi and sashimi is absolutely exquisite, and you can choose to sit at the sushi bar as the sushi chefs hand craft the individual dishes. Alternatively, relax in the Japanese post-modern dining area under the paper lantern mood lighting, and enjoy mouthwatering entrees, such as Thai Crispy Red Snapper, Mango Chicken, and Miso Chilean Sea Bass.

Koto also has a well appointed bar area, at which you can try one of their signature martinis, sample any of their 7 sake’s, or chat over a glass of wine.

$5 for $12 Worth of Frozen Yogurt, Smoothies & Frozen Yogurt Lattes Trying to find a sweet treat that isn’t pure hedonism? Then it’s time you found Berryism. The Berryism Frozen Yogurt Café has become a firm favorite with the south Tampa set, specializing in frozen yogurts, smoothies and signature frozen yogurt lattes.

It can be tough finding anything that tastes sweet while trying to stick to a healthy diet, but at Berryism the yogurts are all-natural, as well as being fat and gluten free, and they taste just as good as – if not better than – sugar-loaded ice cream.

At Berryism you call the shots – selecting the flavors and toppings you want to create your very own signature sundaes to best reflect your yearnings.

Starting with one of the delicious yogurts as a base, you then get to embellish it with a variety of fruits and assorted dry toppings, either recreating a perennial favorite or trying something new and exciting every time.

In keeping with their focus on healthy eating, all the fruit at Berryism is freshly cut that day (you’ll find no canned or frozen produce here) including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mango, pineapple and kiwi.

The toppings also steer clear of the high-fructose/sugar-saturated/tooth-rotting variety (such as syrups and marshmallows) without sacrificing sweetness and flavor. Choose from almonds, walnuts, pretzels, gummy bears, fruity pebbles, chocolate chips, yogurt chips, carob chips and everyone’s favorite – peanut butter.

Berryism – it could become a colloquialism for giving your diet a bit of favoritism!

$10 for $20 of Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch in South Tampa Too late for breakfast but too early for lunch? Fancy some eggs benedict after midday or a burger and salad before works even begun? Doesn’t matter at The Brunchery because they serve every delicious item on their menu from the moment they open at 8am until they close at 2pm.

But this is no ordinary breakfast/lunch venue. The menu alone has over 100 dishes ranging from French toast, waffles and pancakes, crepes, quiches, omelets and benedicts through to sandwiches, burgers, soups, and salads. Needless to say each is prepared in-house, daily from the finest local ingredients.

Established in 1985 by renowned caterer Greg Elliot, The Brunchery rapidly established itself as one of the best morning/early afternoon eateries in town winning multiple awards over the years, including the most recent; the 'AOL City’s Best – #1 Best Brunch in Tampa Bay’ accolade.

In fact, so far has the legend of The Brunchery spread that during a Presidential trip to Tampa, the White House called on Greg and his expert team to provide 1000 lunches for the President and his entire entourage.

Award winning food, feeding Presidents, and menus more elaborate than many restaurants maybe, but don’t think that The Brunchery is a snooty elitist venue – everything on the menu is under $10 and these aren’t small portions either! How does a 3-egg Italian Omelet with sausage, onion, provolone, tomatoes, potatoes, mushrooms and green peppers served with a side of home fries sound? Or the Signature French Toast with cream cheese sauce, fresh bananas and strawberries, powdered sugar, and almonds – both of which are less than $8.00!

Add in our fantastic deal of the day – $10 for $20 worth of food from the Brunchery – and you won’t be eating like a President, you’ll be eating like an Emperor!

$25 for $50 of Lobstah, Chowdah, New England Seafood + Free Beer... Florida seafood is good, but no-one is going to argue that anything can really top seafood caught in the icy northern seas; from the delicious snow crab, to the king of all seafood – Maine lobster.

Serving the finest seafood direct from the shores of New England, Monstah Lobstah has become a Tampa institution since its founding 12 years ago, specializing in providing the freshest lobster, crab, chowder and New England seafood in town.

The eatery is laid-back and casual, just like its New England counterparts. No jacket and tie needed here! But that’s just as well because once you’ve chosen your live Lobster and it arrives pink and steaming at your table, it’s shirtsleeves up and fingers in for the best Maine Lobster you’ve ever had!

Another unique feature at Monstah Lobstah is the free beer. Yes you did hear that right – free beer! Every eat-in customer can have as much beer as they want for free, no strings attached. $24.95 for Air Revitalizing System Save 64% off Retail + Free Shipping We take the air we breathe for granted, but just like the nutrients and fluids we put into our bodies to remain healthy, so the quality of the air we inhale plays just as big of a role in determining our health and wellbeing.

Airborne pollutants such as dust, mould, chemicals and smoke all carry detrimental effects to our health, and for allergy sufferers the air delivers all manner of pollens and dander that can make life a misery. Thankfully the Goodsphere Air Revitalizing System has been designed to optimize the very air we breathe and promote healthier, happier lives for us all.

Comprising Swiss-designed technology, the Goodsphere System is a multifunctional system delivering several major benefits. Firstly the system purifies the air; cleaning it of dust and allergens, enhancing the quality of the air we breathe, reducing our exposure to harmful materials, and relieving symptoms for allergy sufferers. As it purifies the air the system also neutralizes odors such as cooking, pets and tobacco smoke, creating a more pleasant environment for everyone. Included with the system are 5 luxury French essences, each containing natural essential oils that release beautiful aromas and will transform any room into a beautifully fragranced living space.

In addition the system acts as an ionizer; converting positive ions into negative ions, which offer a host of great benefits. Negative ions increase the flow of oxygen to the brain resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, increased energy levels, and more mental energy. Air conditioning depletes the atmosphere of negative ions, but an ionizer negates these bad effects.

Lastly The Goodsphere System acts as a humidifier – replacing precious moisture lost through the use of A/C’s. Arid air dries the skin and inhibits sleep patterns, but in a well balanced environment you’ll sleep better and your skin with feel better too.

Because the Goodsphere System is designed to create a cleaner environment, it has also been designed to be incredibly energy efficient and eco-friendly, using a fraction of the electricity than a standard light-bulb needs to run and it comes with a full warranty.

$10 for $20 of Subs, Pizza & Pasta @ Chubby's in South Tampa Tucked away at the Ballast Point end of Bayshore Blvd is one of Tampa’s best kept secrets when it comes to good old, honest-to-goodness food joints. But those people who did discover it have absolutely loved it because they told their friends and kept coming back for more, and such has been this cult status that Chubby’s Super Subs & Pizza is now in its 28th year providing hearty eatin’ for those in-the-know.

Founded and still run by George and Zan Fuller, they took the best bits from the most popular eateries around the Boston Suburbs they grew up in and created Chubby’s as an Tampa gateway to the old-fashioned, hearty eatin’ of the northeast.

From the house specialty – the Steak Bomb Cheesesteak boasting thick steak, sautéed onions and mushrooms, green peppers and lashings of melted American cheese – to the handmade pizzas, pastas and subs, Chubby’s take great pride in everything on their menu. Accordingly, they make their pizza dough on site, the pasta and pizza sauces are recipes created freshly from scratch in-house, their bread is baked daily, and all their ingredients are bought at a local farmers market.

As you’d expect of such an unassuming place the prices are unassuming too; with virtually everything on the menu at well under $10. You won’t hurt your wallet and if you are worried that you’re hurting your waistline – and as the restaurant’s name implies, they do feed you good! – then fear not. Being situated on the end of Bayshore means you can enjoy a meandering stroll along the boulevard to burn off any excess calories when you’re done.

$30 For Premium Auto Detail Package (A $55 Savings!) There are many reasons to keep your vehicle well cared for and in good condition; from the obvious pride we take in our preferred mode of transport looking its best, to the more mundane but ultimately more important issues of protecting your car from the elements to prolong its lifespan.

One of life’s true pleasures is stepping into a gleaming automobile – the coachwork bright as a mirror, the interior glowing and with that unique ‘new car’ scent. Today we spend so much time in our vehicles (we do our shopping in them, do our banking in them, pick up our food in them and sometimes even eat in them too) who wouldn’t want this environment we spend such a large percentage of our lives in looking and feeling fantastic?

Ride N’ Shine Auto Detailing have been the leaders in keeping vehicles in pristine order for over 11 years, earning themselves the title “Best Detailing Shop in St. Pete” for their unstinting efforts to maintain their clients’ cars to showroom standards throughout their working lives.

Florida’s harsh sunlight is notorious for burning away the nutrients that preserve automobile paint’s color and shine, and our modern lifestyles don’t do much for our cars’ interiors – all that in-car snacking leading to spills on seats, sticky fingers on the panels and windows, and a real mess of the carpets. However, Ride N’ Shine have become synonymous with restoring and preserving the appearance and durability of vehicles throughout the Bay area to the highest standards.

With a range of auto detailing packages to suit your every need, Ride N’ Shine will bring out the beauty of your car and ensure the investment you made when you walked onto the sales lot will continue to hold its value.

$10 for $20 of Authentic Italian Food & Drinks Come and discover a little touch of Italy tucked away in the heart of downtown Tampa. Although one of the city’s newest restaurants, Pizzaiolo Bavaro will transport you to the café society of southern Europe and hundreds of years of culinary tradition.

Surrounded by century old brick walls, high ceilings and imported tile, the interior is comfy and distinctly Mediterranean, however the centerpiece is assuredly the genuine, hand crafted Neapolitan brick oven that was imported form Italy to ensure Pizzaiolo Bavaro’s cuisine is as authentic as any you’ll find in Naples itself.

The restaurant’s founder and head chef Dan Bavaro spent 3 years travelling Italy and the US in his quest to fully understand the craft of pizza Napoletana, culminating in his being mentored in Italy by 5th generation Neapolitan families teaching him the true secrets of perfect brick oven and pizza Napoletana techniques.

The wood-fired oven’s heart reaches a dizzying 900 degrees F and cooks the most beautiful pizza Napoletana’s in just 90 seconds! Dan also uses the oven to bake the restaurant’s rustic selection of breads, each prepared using artisan methods handed down by generations of Italian bakers.

The menu – like Italian cuisine itself – is simple and uncluttered. The ingredients are organic and either locally grown or imported form Italy to ensure the highest quality and freshest of flavors. Beautiful Verde salads with arugula, cherry tomato, shaved parmigiano reggiano, lemon and extra-virgin olive oil; an exquisite Bruschetta with wood-fired bread, plum tomatoes, oregano, garlic and basil; or any of Pizzaiolo Bavaro’s outstanding pizzas.

In addition there is a fabulous wine selection and to-die-for gelatos, including the truly spectacular wood-fired waffle with choice of gelato – impossible to refuse!

Dine al fresco and watch the world go by, or soak up the interior ambiance while watching Chef Bavaro create his masterpieces in the wood-fire oven. Whatever you choose, you’ll soon succumb to the old world charm while being treated to the very the finest authentic Italian cuisine.

Get 4 Gourmet Cupcakes for $7 from Frostings etc... Want something sweet to liven up your day? Then Frostings Etc. is just what you need. The brainchild of Joe Barbato and Sharon Tabasco, Sharon first had the idea while watching one of Bobby Flay’s Food TV ‘Throwdown’ episodes on cupcakes. Baking has always been a passion for Sharon and with some additional encouragement and enthusiasm from family and friends she and Joe set out to do what they love, and open their own bakery offering over 30 different varieties of cupcakes.

Now in its second year, their sweet little gourmet cupcake boutique on South Howard Ave has become a favorite of cupcake lovers in South Tampa. You may think that a cupcake is just a cupcake, but take one bite of a cupcake from Frostings Etc. and your mind will be changed forever – these are no ordinary cupcakes! Everything in the bakery is made from scratch each morning with love and dedication; nothing is frozen overnight and there's no such thing as pre-mixes used at Frostings etc! Each recipe has been created exclusively by Sharon so you won't find these treats anywhere else!

The menu has different delicious offerings, with temptations including the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cupcake made with chocolate chips studded into a vanilla cake, smothered with cookie dough frosting and sprinkled with semi-sweet mini chocolate chips. Their Death by Chocolate is a chocoholics dream consisting of a moist, rich chocolate cake baked with a Hershey Kiss inside and garnished with a classic chocolate butter cream frosting, an additional Hershey Kiss is added on top and then the confection is finished with a drizzle of chocolate ganache. However, the signature cupcake has to be the Champagne Pear Bellini – a luscious white cake infused with pink champagne, slices of pears draped in a light champagne cream cheese frosting and crowned with an edible organic flower. These cupcakes are almost too pretty to eat!

Frostings Etc. is also a great place for late night snacks – they are open until 10.00pm Monday through Thursday and 12:30am on Friday and Saturdays.

One of the most exotic and historical countries in the world, Ethiopia has long held a place as a land of allure and adventure. With a dynasty dating back 3,000 years (it is even name-checked as early as Book 2 of Genesis), it is cited as the home of Adam and Eve, and is home to many natural wonders including spectacular waterfalls, volcanic hot springs, epic mountain ranges, and hottest regions on Earth.

Ethiopia is also the country where the Coffee Bean originated and to accompany this culinary milestone boasts some of the world’s most exotic foods. However, unlike the adventurers and traders of centuries past, you don’t have to travel the planet to experience the joy of Ethiopian cuisine; the Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant has been wowing South Tampa diners with its delicious and authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

The comprehensive menu features an array of vegetable, meat and fish dishes, many served as a ‘wat’ – a spicy, thick stew – served atop ‘injera’ – a large sourdough flatbread. If it all sounds a bit daunting, remember that as one of the earliest countries known to man, Ethiopia’s culinary heritage has long influenced European, Asian and Latin American cooking through thousands of years of trading and migration.

The wat has obviously been incorporated into Spanish cooking throughout the centuries and today is evident in all those thick and fiery Latin stews, and the injera plays grandfather to Mediterranean style flatbreads and pitas. Even the way we eat much of our food today (wings, fries, ribs) reflects the traditional Ethiopian way of eating – by hand.

So instead of boring old hot wings, why not take a culinary adventure and enjoy some spicy, succulent Queen’s Lamb Tibs (that’s delicious boneless leg of lamb sautéed with Ethiopian spices, rosemary and green peppers to you) and take yourself and your taste buds on a 3,000 year old journey into deepest Africa.

$10 for $20 of Authentic Island Cuisine at the Jerk Hut Catch a bit of Caribbean soul and Jamaican heat to help add some warmth this winter at either of the Jerk Hut’s two Tampa locations, and load up on the sounds, styles and tastes of the islands to chase away the winter blues.

As the Bay Area’s premiere venues for authentic island cuisine and entertainment, the Jerk Hut Jamaican Grille and Rhum Bar and the Jerk Hut Downtown Café have been serving a taste of Jamaica for 20 years.

The Jerk style of cooking is indigenous to Jamaica and consists of meats and fish rubbed in special marinades (featuring allspice, scotch bonnet peppers, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and garlic) before being slow cooked over coals.

The results include mouthwatering Jerk Chicken that falls off the bone, piquant Curry Shrimp with the subtlety of the ocean and the explosiveness of an undersea fissure, and sultry Jamaican Beef with a languid smokiness.

The Jerk Hut Downtown Café is situated – as its name suggests – in the heart of the city center and is hugely popular with the downtown lunch-bunch; offering the full jerk menu alongside an assortment of the Caribbean’s natural juices, fruit punches, teas and home-grown sodas, including ginger beer, soursop and Kola Champagne. There is also a happy hour party – with buffet – every Friday night where you can let your hair down (or should that be dreadlocks?) with live reggae and plenty of Red Stripe beer.

The flagship however, is the Jerk Hut Jamaican Grille and Rhum Bar located by USF on Fowler Ave. Here you will encounter tropical dining in an idyllic island setting, a full liquor bar, and of course that cornerstone of island life – live entertainment; be it karaoke on Thursdays, live reggae on Fridays and Saturdays, and a full-blown Caribbean Sunday brunch buffet with reggae ‘n’ steel drums.

If you can’t get to Jamaica this winter, hit the Jerk Hut and let Jamaica come to you.

$20 for $50 of Stone Crab, Seafood, Steaks & Drinks Enjoy a seafood extravaganza with our unbeatable offer of $20 for $50 worth of the freshest Florida seafood and drinks at Billy’s Stonecrab and Seafood Restaurant.

Since first opening its doors in 1972 Billy’s has become a St Pete Beach institution – consistently voted “#1 Stone Crab and Seafood” venue year after year – thanks to its excellent selection of the very freshest local fish, crab and shellfish.

The waterfront restaurant is the perfect setting for a leisurely lunch or affable evening meal. Constructed entirely from native cypress and pine, Billy’s affords diners spectacular views of the surrounding natural harbor.

But the best thing about Billy’s is the food. Locally caught grouper and lobster have become menu staples; such as the Grouper Oscar and Whole Crab Stuffed Lobster. However, as the restaurant’s name suggests, its true fame comes from its beautifully prepared stone crab – which luckily for us just so happens to be in the height of season right now!

Not content with being the best seafood joint in town, Billy’s is also renowned for serving award winning steaks; selecting only prime beef before carefully ageing it to absolute tender perfection.

Despite all the accolades and awards, the restaurant remains true to its roots – you’ll never need a tie to dine at Billy’s! and the prices remain extremely reasonable. Now, thanks to our deal saving you 60% on anything from Billy’s menu and bar (up to $50 total value) there’s no better time to check out St Pete Beach’s premiere seafood restaurant.

$30 of exquisite cuisine for $15 at Hiro's Tokyo Steakhouse & Sushi Bar In the last couple of decades sushi has become very much a mainstay in our culinary lexicon, with ready-made dishes available in grocery stores and a plethora of local sushi bars. Now a new sushi sensation is sweeping the gastronomic scene – winning over critics and wowing customers with its authenticity, vibrancy and downright great taste. And what is more, it’s happening right here in the bay area!

Hiro's Tokyo Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in St. Petersburg is the fifth and newest location for the rapidly growing, local gastro-phenomenon. Combining traditional sushi with the more recent teppanyaki style of dining, Hiro’s caters (literally!) to both the sushi aficionado and those preferring a menu utilizing meats and ingredients found in a more western kitchen.

First the teppanyaki. Originated by the Misono restaurants in the ‘40’s and made famous by the Benihana chain in the ‘60’s onwards, now Hiro’s has taken up the torch. Teppanyaki involves western ingredients such as steak and chicken that are cooked on an iron griddle atop a hibachi. The preparation and cooking is done in front of the diners, with Hiro’s chefs creating a mesmerizing floor-show of their own; expertly fashioning exquisite dishes while engaging with the audience/diners. The results, needles to say, are the freshest and tastiest you are likely to find.

On to the sushi. Now a staple in the US restaurant world, sushi has perhaps become somewhat homogenized. Hiro’s brings such an authenticity back to its sushi that it is almost a new experience tasting it; such is the vitality in taste of their sushi creations.

Now you can experience the Bay’s newest Japanese sensation at a sensational price with Groupocity.com’s $30 of exquisite cuisine for only $15 at Hiro’s deal. On top of the Lunch, Dinner, and Late Night specials already on offer from Hiro's Tokyo Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, this really is a mouthwatering offer – in every sense!

50% off Mediterranean Cuisine at Café AlmaFri, 04 Dec 2009 04:00:00 -0500http://www.groupocity.com/tampa/cafe-alma$30 for $75 of Fine Dining at Gallagher's Steakhouse

A mouthwatering meal for a mouthwatering deal!

One of Tampa's most renowned steakhouses, Gallagher's in Channelside is offering Groupocity.com customers $75 worth of fine dining for only $30, so while you might stretch your waistline a bit, you won't be slimming down your wallet.

Established as a New York speakeasy in 1927 at the height of prohibition, Gallagher's became Broadway's first steakhouse when Roosevelt finally abolished prohibition in 1933.

Today Gallagher's in Channelside is more relaxed and casual than those heady days of the roaring twenties speakeasy, with beautiful waterfront views and panoramic vistas of Downtown Tampa.

Gallagher's claim to being one of the Nation's premiere steakhouses is borne out by the fact it was the first steakhouse to ever serve a New York Strip - a true signature cut- and a tradition it continues to this day with its tender and succulent USDA Prime dry aged steaks.

For those who prefer the surf and turf, Gallagher's pride themselves on offering the finest seafood in the bay area, and with a plethora of salads and sides to choose from, Groupocity.com invites you to enjoy the perfect meal at an incredible price.

And if you're planning on having a glass of wine with your meal, raise a toast to FDR, who repealed prohibition and you to do so, fittingly, on the 5th of December.

Get $30 of Eclectic Fine Dining at 717 South for $15 He wants an Asian Inspired dish; she wants Italian style comfort food. Where the two old worlds meet together and join hands at the table, is how we describe Michael's 717 South Restaurant. Located on the prominent strip of South Howard Avenue, 717 South is a definite place to be. Theirs is an innovative menu that provides so many great choices that decisions are difficult to make on an empty stomach. Complimented with an impressive wine list and cocktail menu, everything sounds classy and delicious.

Service is friendly, and the wait staff are knowledgeable and they really seem to love the menu. And although this location seems pretty swank with it's modern twist on the 1920's décor, you can arrive casual without a second glance. A great way to start your meal is with the house rolled Pesto Bread served with 717's home made marinara with an island of their three cheese blend of Parmesan, Romano and mascarpone cheeses. Some of our menu favorites are the miso and sake cured Tilapia served with a buerr'e blanc sauce with kaffir lime leaves, wasabi infused mashed potatoes and a confetti of soy beans, and the 717 Lasagna made with Italian sausage, ground beef, ricotta, mascarpone, Romano & Parmigiano cheeses. Complete your meal with the Key lime pie with a graham cracker crust or the Chocolate torte. Like we said, something for him and something for her!

...717 South serves authentic Italian dishes from the “Kitchens of Italy” to exotic seafood from the pacific rim, including their famous miso and sake cured catch of the day. It boasts an extensive wine list (over 200 wines by the bottle), martini's, and specialty drinks from all parts of the world. Michael Stewart, a local native, is the owner, and Korean-born chef Robert Masson displays a sure mastery of all ports and parts of the world. Set with 1920's art deco paintings, wood trim, high ceilings, and an open kitchen, it welcomes each patron with an energetic, yet soothing atmosphere where they can enjoy a great meal.

Get 4 Gourmet Cupcakes for $8 from Frostings etc...
